Kathryn is a printmaker and long time member of Dayton Printmakers Co-op. She works in intaglio, woodcut, linocut, dry point, monoprint, and screenprinting. Her compositions exhibit delicate details, abstraction and sometimes ambiguity. She has exhibited locally, regionally and internationally. Carol will be displaying her art as well. She is a potter, creating whimsical and seasoned utilitarian pieces. She will also be showing her exquisite hand woven scarves.

Women in the United States officially gained the right to vote in 1920, but Ohio ratified the 19th Amendment in June of 1919. That makes this month the 100th anniversary of Ohio’s ratification of women’s right to vote! Dayton Metro Library celebrates this monumental achievement with two fascinating exhibits at the Main Library. See the Suffragists: And They Persisted! Art Quilt Show in the 2nd floor gallery, featuring intricate fabric artworks depicting faces behind the Women's Suffrage Movement. In the Opportunity Space @ Patterson, see 19th Amendment: Towards Equality for All, featuring historical photos, speeches, and other documents from the library's Women's Suffrage Collection. The exhibits are on display during regular library hours and are free and open to the public.
