Tell us a bit about yourself and your business. What made you decide to open your own small business and how long have you been in operation?
I’m Raeshetta Thompson from Hair Rich Club. Hair Rich Club provides hair replacement and wig extensions. We offer quality wigs and custom made units in all colors and lengths. Whether it is for medical use or cosmetic, Hair Rich Club has you covered.
Being an entrepreneur is in my blood! I’ve had my own salon since 2006 and I’ve been in this location downtown for four years. I got into the hair loss field because I suffered from hair loss myself. I then took it a step further into hair replacement instead of just restoration, and custom made wigs. I’ve been a wig maker for the past seven years, and can make wigs for men or women with different styles, head sizes, and colors available.
What do you enjoy about working in downtown Dayton?
I enjoy the professionalism and the location. I like the fact that it is a convenient, nice, and safe environment. I park very nearby in the Arts Garage, and I like the staff here at Liberty Tower – they’re very helpful.
Tell us something about your business that may surprise people to learn.
We offer custom units to fit your exact head size! Meaning you can get a specialty unit just for you. The largest wig we have made is 27 inches and the standard is 23 inches.
How is your business coping with the pandemic and how can people support you now?
We shifted completely to wigs to adjust our business during COVID. The community can help by making donations to get more units, as the cost has increased tremendously.
