REOPEN DOWNTOWN GRANT PROGRAM

Financial Support to Consumer-Focused Businesses

*APPLICATIONS ARE NOW CLOSED. GRANT RECIPIENTS WILL BE NOTIFIED 2-3 WEEKS AFTER THE MAY 22ND DEADLINE

The Downtown Dayton Partnership recognizes the need in our small business community to develop new, creative ways to help sustain them through the COVID-19 pandemic. In collaboration with the CareSource Foundation, the Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce, and CityWide Development Corp., we have created a special funding program for our consumer businesses. The Re-Open Downtown Dayton Fund will provide small grants to help cover operating expenses and provide bridge / gap assistance to downtown's locally owned consumer businesses that plan to return to operations following this crisis.

Program Highlights

  • Downtown restaurants, bars, retailers, coffee shops, and personal care services (e.g. salons, barbers, fitness) are the target recipients of this funding
  • Grants ranging from $2,000 to $10,000, depending on the size of the business prior to the COVID-19 pandemic
  • Eligible to cover operating expenses: payroll, rent, utilities, inventory, etc.

  • The application deadline to apply was May 22, 2020 at 5pm EDT. Applications are being considered on their merit by a selection committee made up of downtown business leaders. This is NOT a first-come, first-served grant. The fund will be administered by the Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce Education and Public Improvement (EPI) Foundation.
