Tell us a bit about yourself and your business.
We are a Classic Italian American restaurant. We have been in this downtown Dayton location for 40 years. We provide great meal experiences for our valued guests. The Spaghetti Warehouse prides itself on offering great homemade Italian/American food for any size group. We serve intimate first dates as well as large Family events such as birthday parties, wedding rehearsals, business meetings, reunions, etc… Our Restaurant is decorated in the history of Dayton and the history of America.
What made you decide to open your own small business and how long have you been in operation?
We opened in 1980 because we saw these large great looking buildings in Downtown sitting empty, and we knew we could fill it with a fun great place people would want to come back to time and again.
What do you enjoy about working in downtown Dayton?
The people. It’s all about the great wonderful mix of people with amazing diverse stories to tell.
Tell us something about your business that may surprise people to learn.
Our restaurant can hold over 500 guests at one time. We have 5 different dining rooms to seat. So we can do social distancing safer than almost any downtown Dayton restaurant. We also offer great family meal deals.
How is your business coping with the pandemic and how can people support you now?
I am not going to lie – it is tough. Without the concerts at Levitt, ballgames at Dragon’s field, shows at the Schuster Center driving guests down here it really hurts our sales. Thankfully we have some of the most loyal guests. Even when we could only do carry out food, they supported us. The best thing they can do is keep coming in to dine if they feel safe, or getting to go’s or deliveries.
