Third Perk Coffeehouse and Wine Bar owner Juanita Darden has transformed a vacant corner retail storefront at 146 E. Third St. into a new location for her business. Third Perk closed at its previous downtown location earlier this year during the pandemic shutdown, but the restaurant, coffeehouse and wine bar reopened in The Fireblocks District in late December. This stretch of Third Street is adjacent to other businesses such as Skeleton Dust Records and Salt Block Biscuit Company and will soon welcome Jollity restaurant, Bozack’s Lounge and Two Social. Third Perk is open seven days a week; 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends.
