Organic Beauty Store Opens Today on West Fifth Street
Baba Love Organics, a sustainable, plant-based skin care line developed by local entrepreneur Vaniti Byrd, will open its first retail location today in downtown Dayton at 116 W. Fifth St. The Baba Love line of organic skincare products began when Byrd searched to find chemical-free products for her newborn, and in the process discovered the high prices of other products, so she started to make them herself and sell them online. In 2019, Baba Love Organics won the Launch Dayton Techstars Startup Week Early Risers Competition and Byrd has grown her company since. During the shutdown, Byrd built out her new storefront while she continued to see increased sales in her products through online orders, and with the opening of her brick-and-mortar location, Byrd says she looks forward to welcoming new clients to her skincare line. The hours of the West Fifth Street Baba Love Organics store will be noon to 7 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays, and noon to 5 p.m. on Saturdays.
