Applications are open for visual artists to be part of the Art in the City juried art show. Organized by The Contemporary, this program places local artwork in downtown businesses where they will be displayed for two weeks. The public is invited to visit each pop-up gallery and vote for their favorite artist or body of work. The artist with the most votes will win a cash prize! Performing and visual artists who wish to participate as a demo, hands-on activity station, live performance, or other immersive art experience are invited to apply to be part of the Art in the City festival, which takes place from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, August 2.
