The Dana L. Wiley Gallery at Front Street
The Darker Sooner is part of a simultaneous exhibition starting in April that offer perspective on Alzheimer’s disease and other related dementias.
The Darker Sooner brings the work of Dayton and Denver artist Karen Fisher who explores the impact of Alzheimer’s and related dementias on people and society through fourteen mixed media pieces. Her exhibition takes its title from the poem by Catherine Wing.
Connections: Moments of Clarity brings together Dayton area artists and residents in memory care facilities to create paintings that spark connection and moments of clarity for person living with Alzheimer’s or related dementias, while enabling families and friends in our community to find connections and moments of clarity with their loved ones.
