Find something fun to do with our calendar of downtown events.
Rediscover Downtown Events!
As we begin to safely resume gathering and rediscovering all the great things downtown has to offer, we’re especially excited to get back to all the fun events we’ve missed so much!
There’s always something fun going on downtown! Below you’ll find a list of events scheduled for today. Use the filters at the top to find events by date, keyword, and more. You can also view the calendar by month or as a list of 20 events at a time.
Have an event to submit to our calendar? If it is located downtown (within our service area) and open to the public, it’s likely we’ll include it. Send us your event info using our event submission form.

The title of the Dayton Philharmonic Youth Orchestra’s opening work on the program best represents a theme for their concert. Dòchas means HOPE in Scottish Gaelic, reflecting the ancestry of the composer, Laura Pettigrew. In the composer’s words, “given the current unrest and turmoil globally….I felt it was important to express HOPE through music; to move forward, to exist, to believe, we must have HOPE!” DPYO returns to the Schuster Center with great hope for much music together in the future.
Dòchas (Hope) – Laura Pettigrew
Poet and Peasant Overture – Franz von Suppé
Symphony no. 8 in B minor, Movement I – Franz Schubert
Adventures on Earth – John Williams
