As we begin to safely resume gathering and rediscovering all the great things downtown has to offer, we’re especially excited to get back to all the fun events we’ve missed so much!
There’s always something fun going on downtown! Below you’ll find a list of events scheduled for today. Use the filters at the top to find events by date, keyword, and more. You can also view the calendar by month or as a list of 20 events at a time.
Have an event to submit to our calendar? If it is located downtown (within our service area) and open to the public, it’s likely we’ll include it. Send us your event info using our event submission form.

Celebrate Dayton’s rich collection of visual and performing arts during a special event that kicks off a unique juried art show!
Join local businesses, artists, and other organizations as we “paint, perform, and party” around downtown Dayton during Art in the City on Friday, August 2, from 5 to 9 p.m.
Visit mini pop-up gallery exhibits placed in downtown businesses as part of a special two-week juried art show. Curated by The Contemporary Dayton, the show kicks off during the Art in the City event on August 2 and runs through August 16.
Your vote can help your favorite artist win cash!
Vote in person at the ballot boxes at participating businesses on August 2 only.
Online voting is available August 2-16 at Dayton.com.
The Art in the City People’s Choice winner will be announced on August 16.

We’re kicking off the juried show open voting with a downtown-wide arts celebration. From 5 to 9 p.m. on First Friday, August 2, you’ll encounter live performances, art-making stations, an artisan market, patio parties, live music, and other fun activities throughout downtown!
Art in the City is presented by the Downtown Dayton Partnership as part of the DP&L Summer in the City, sponsored by DP&L, WHIO-TV, the Ohio Arts Council, Miller-Valentine Group, Code Credit Union, PNC Bank, and Dayton Art Solutions, and funded by a grant from the Jack W. and Sally D. Eichelberger Foundation of the Dayton Foundation.
Event partners include The Contemporary Dayton, Culture Works, The Dayton Art Institute, the Dayton Performing Arts Alliance, the Downtown Dayton Partnership, Front Street Studio, the Human Race Theatre Company, K12 Gallery & TEJAS, Levitt Pavilion Dayton, and the Victoria Theatre Association.
