Returning for its 18th year, Dayton Music Fest is back on Oct 21st and 22nd at Blind Bob’s Bar and The Yellow Cab Tavern in celebration of the creative, lively, and active Dayton Music Scene.
“There’s so much talent in Dayton and the surrounding communities,” Brian Johnson, Dayton Music Fest organizer said. “We’re here to celebrate these local musicians, their diversity in style and background, and their talents with this annual multi-day, multi-venue festival in Downtown Dayton”
One of Dayton’s longest running annual music events, Dayton Music Fest was founded in 2004. Through many different iterations over the years, organizers are excited to bring DMF back to live Downtown Dayton stages this year. Blind Bob’s Bar and the Yellow Cab Tavern will host more than 20 live bands, 10 singer songwriters, and a DJ over the two day festival.
“We couldn’t be more excited to be bringing back the live music experience everyone is looking for at Dayton Music Fest 2022. ” Johnson said. “These artists are best when experienced in a live setting. Blind Bob’s and the Yellow Cab Tavern are the perfect venues for the return of DMF because of their dedication to the Dayton local music scene week in and week out, all year long”
Some of the artists playing Dayton Music Fest have been playing locally for 30 + years.
“We love to feature local artists both seasoned and brand new,” Johnson said. “You have acts like Haunting Souls and The Mulchmen who have paved the way for all of us to be here and then you have acts that are pretty much brand new and making their debut. I also want to give a shout out to Joe Andrel who has played every single DMF ever.”
