Sueno, a restaurant by The Idea Collective – the same group that opened the award-winning Tender Mercy underground bar – will open to the public beginning Wednesday, July 7. The concept behind Sueno was inspired by the traditions and culture of Mexico’s burgeoning culinary scenes and spaces, the Idea Collective team said, and pays homage to the dreamers and doers that are challenging norms and crafting a new culinary narrative south of the border. Behind Sueno’s culinary cuisine is Executive Chef Jorge Guzman, who has 24 years of culinary experience, is a Beard Foundation finalist, and whose previous work has been recognized by Food and Wine Magazine as a “Top 10” restaurant in the United States. Sueno is located at 607 E. Third Street, and will be open dinner service from 5 p.m. to midnight Wednesdays through Saturdays.
