Now and Zen DIY Studio will re-open at its new location on Third Street in the Fire Blocks District this weekend. An open house is planned for 11 a.m.-4 p.m. this Saturday, April 16. Now and Zen is owned by mother and daughter team Paula Willis and Alleah Cooks. It was originally located in the 2nd Street Market before growing to its previous location at the shops at St. Clair Lofts. Guests to this weekend’s grand opening can spin a wheel for discounts or gifts and take part in the shop’s featured small project “Succulent in a Mug.” Reservations are also being accepted for time to create at the terrarium bar during the event. Now and Zen sells house plants, premade terrariums, and DIY kits, as well as items from other local artists. Once open, the new space can be used for private events as well as special project workshops.
