District Market to Hold Ribbon-cutting Event this Week

Mike Colvin Fast Facts

A new grab-and-go food concept is holding its grand opening celebration this Thursday. District Market is expected to officially open at 200 Wayne Avenue early next week. The market will feature seven food and beverage-based startups. Each of the startups will sign a temporary lease in the space to allow more businesses to benefit from the education and exposure that the market will provide. Creator of District Market, Tae Winston, says she eventually has plans to expand the storefront to include a commercial kitchen. Until then, all products will be created off-site. A ribbon-cutting ceremony is planned for District Market at 1 p.m. on Thursday, November 10. Once open, the market will have hours of 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. seven days a week.
