In August, businesses and entrepreneurs across the country celebrate Black Business Month, and this year celebrations in Dayton’s Gem City Black Business Month will include events to engage, educate and equip black entrepreneurs with the resources necessary to grow their business of all sizes. Those events will include a month-long calendar of networking events, educational programs, dialogues and workshops. The Downtown Black Business Hop on August 14 will include a day of visiting downtown Dayton black-owned businesses, supporting and learning about the businesses, and a chance to win prizes. The month of events is a partnership between The Greater West Dayton Incubator (GWDI), The University of Dayton, Launch Dayton, the Downtown Dayton Partnership, and other community organizers.
