“Downtown Dayton is the ideal location for a corporate headquarters because it is the heart of this region. CareSource has been rooted in the downtown community from the beginning, and it has always been a great place to operate, even when we were small,” says Morris.
After reviewing all available options, the company made a decision to build its new 300,000 square foot corporate headquarters at the corner of Main Street and Monument Avenue. “Having a centralized corporate headquarters downtown is ideal for recruiting employees and it offers the amenities businesses want their staff to have access to,” adds Morris. “The Schuster Center, Victoria Theatre, RiverScape, Fifth Third Field, Courthouse Square, and not to mention all the restaurants and art galleries make downtown a great place to work. My husband and I have season tickets to the Dayton Opera, and I enjoy getting out of the office at lunchtime.”
The City of Dayton and the Dayton-Montgomery Port Authority are building an adjacent public parking garage that will be used by CareSource employees and will also be open to the public for RiverScape events, theater parking and other public uses. The new headquarters and public parking garage bring a total of nearly $75 million of new investment into downtown Dayton, making the CareSource headquarters project one of the largest urban construction projects in the state of Ohio.
Now, that’s big. The downtown skyline will have a new addition with the CareSource headquarters, and change has never looked so good.
