Fast Facts: Salar Set to Reopen

Mike Colvin Fast Facts

After a New Year’s Eve fire forced the temporary closure of Salar Restaurant and Lounge, the local eatery announced it will reopen this week in its Oregon District home at 400 E. Fifth St. Festivities begin with a ticketed three-day soft open, starting Thursday, followed by a grand opening party on Sunday and regular service beginning Oct. 1. The soft opening days will serve as fundraisers for Dayton Children’s Hospital’s Burn Program. Tickets are priced $10 per person, not including food, beverage, tax and gratuity. Reservations can be made online; space will be limited. Salar will celebrate its grand opening with a special event from 5 to 7 p.m. on Sept. 30. Tickets are required and include food, beverages and live entertainment. Visit the website for regular hours, menu, and more information.
