Fast Facts: Federal Building, Courthouse to be Named After Judge Rice

Thanks to a bill submitted by U.S. Rep. Mike Turner, and Senators Sherrod Brown and Rob Portman, the federal building and courthouse will be named after Judge Walter H. Rice. The historical building, located at 200 W. Second St., has not had its own name since it was built in 1975. President Jimmy Carter appointed Judge Rice to the U.S District Court for the Southern District of Ohio in 1980.
